Classes
As well as producing the great sounds of this drum, the experience of learning an Indian classical music tradition helps you find a way to get in touch with your own learning techniques and find a meditation within music. With options available both face-to-face and online, start learning how to play tabla at your own pace.
Face to Face Open Tabla Classes
Supporting the local communities, facilities, and services, these group sessions offer the traditional experience of building our community through learning and creating art together. Sessions will continue as government guidelines permit.
Group learning is based on traditional methods with individual attention as well as a chance to make new friends, and jam together in groups.

20 Minute Tabla
Ideal for those with little spare time, these prompt sessions can be arranged to suit your schedule and are an efficient way to explore your skills through personal guidance on a regular basis.

Tabla Juniors
Specialised short, fun sessions to break up the day and for children (usually up until 7 years old) to explore their sense of rhythm and sound from a young age. For toddlers, sessions are designed with a parent/guardian to help work through entertaining practice drills based on traditional teaching methods.
Playing together, and using rhythm practices as simple as clapping, can bring fun, expressiveness, and interaction into the household. Why not get some of your kid’s friends together and book in a trial for an online session ?

Lectures, available to investigate the intricacies of the instrument and the ‘taal – laya’ Indian classical rhythm system. Sessions include live demonstrations and references to classic concerts by the maestros. Suggested for adults interested in learning taal theory.
